Size Guide

The Portofino is made in a single width on an Italian last. The chart below converts between EU, US and UK, with the corresponding foot length in centimetres and inches.

The Portofino size chart: EU, US and UK sizes with foot length in centimetres and inches

How to measure

Measure late in the day, when the foot is at its largest, and measure both feet — most people have one slightly longer than the other. Take the larger of the two.

Stand against a wallHeel flat against the skirting, weight evenly on both feet, standing rather than sitting.
Mark the longest toeIt is not always the big toe. Mark the floor at the tip with a pencil held upright.
Measure the distanceFrom the wall to the mark, in centimetres. Read that figure against the chart above.

Fit notes

The mule runs slightly narrow through the vamp. If your measurement falls between two sizes, or if you have a broader foot, take the larger size — the suede relaxes with wear but the width does not change.

Unlined suede moulds to the foot over the first few outings. A little firmness at the start is normal and is not a sign that the size is wrong. Worn without socks, as intended, most people find their usual size correct once the shoe has settled.
